Turn any YouTube video into flashcards and a quiz.
Watching isn't remembering. Unwatch makes flashcards and a quiz from the video, each tied to a timestamp, so you can test yourself and rewatch only what you got wrong.
Real cards and a real question.
Made from the CNCF conference talk "Kubernetes Deconstructed" by Carson Anderson (33 min).
What is a Pod in Kubernetes?
A Pod encapsulates one or more containers (plus optional volumes) that run tightly coupled together and share the same network namespace.
1:17What does an Ingress rule do?
It defines how incoming requests from outside the cluster map to internal services and ports.
2:36Where does Kubernetes store all cluster resources and state?
In Etcd (or an Etcd cluster).
6:547:40What is the primary mechanism the kube-scheduler uses to react instantly to incoming pod requests from the API server?
- A controller loop inside the kubelet daemon.
- Direct writes to the underlying etcd disk storage.
- A long-running watch pub/sub event model.
- A cron job that polls the API every 5 seconds.
Why: The scheduler hooks up to the API server with a long watch, so it receives instant notifications instead of constantly polling for differences.

Open Flashcards or Quiz
Flip through the cards and mark the ones you know. The quiz has multiple-choice questions with an explanation for each answer.
Rewatch only what you missed
Every card and question has a timestamp, so you jump to the exact moment instead of rewatching the whole video.
Active recall, from videos you already chose.
Reading is better than watching. Testing yourself is better than reading.
Cards tied to the video
Each card comes from what the video says and links to the moment it says it.
Quizzes with explanations
Wrong answers teach you something, because every question explains the right one.
Mark what you know
Mark cards as known, then switch to only the cards you don't know yet, so revision time goes to the rest.
Works on a lecture or a course
Make cards from one video, or from every video in a playlist.
Free plan: 2 hours of video a week. Pro and Own Key plans are on the pricing section of the home page. For users aged 18 and over.
Questions, answered.
Can I export the flashcards to Anki?
Not yet. Flashcards and quizzes are studied inside Unwatch.
How many cards and questions do I get?
It depends on the video. The 33-minute Kubernetes talk above gave 14 flashcards and an 8-question quiz.
Are the cards accurate?
They are written by AI from the video, with a timestamp so you can check any card against the source.
Does it work for lectures and exam prep?
Yes. Any public YouTube video works, including lectures, in any language. Non-English videos become English cards.
Is it free?
Yes, the free plan includes 2 hours of video a week.
